If you haven't seen Despicable Me 2 and are wondering how it could have become the best performing animated Blu-ray title of all time in its opening week, take a look at the Minions.

These mini-stars of the movie are funny just sitting there eating lunch. Wait until you see these pint-sized scamps in action jibber-jabbering as they tear up the scenery - pure belly laugh inducing for kids of all ages.

If that is not enough to entertain you, the three daughters are adorable, especially Agnes, whose cheeks you just want to pinch.

And then there's Gru (voiced by Steve Carell in a heavy unrecognizable accent), a supervillain who was transformed into a super-softie in Despicable Me by the three orphaned sisters.

In this sequel, Gru has become a dedicated father and guardian who has renounced his world domination schemes for a life of planning birthday parties and making jam.

But Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig), an Anti-Villain League agent, recruits Gru to aid in capturing a new Mr. Bad, El Macho. Minions are sucked up and turned into purple fighting machines and the hysterical mayhem commences.
