My Experience: bought in febuary of 06 then in march of o7 the bulb went out. called hitachi they said they had had one on display in the office that hadnt been turned of in two years. how can their bulbs last 2 years an the general public last only 5000 hours. so i bought a new bulb at $300. since then ive had to buy 2 more bulbs. an weve had blue rings around the screen for 2 years and its only getting worse. called hitachi they said carry it to our service centers to get looked at. said it had a bad light engine an it would be over $1200 to. called them back they said to bad we apologize theres nouthing we can do. if i would have know how much money this would have cost me i would have never bought this. not only did i buy a unreliable tv at $2500 plus $1000 for bulbs hitachi knows theres a problem with the light engine on this set an wont help. i feel ripped off.
