The JVC HD-52G587 52" HD-ILA Rear Projection is powered by the same Direct-drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILA) microchips employed by JVC's digital cinema video projectors. HD-ILA micro-displays are the brightest televisions you've ever. JVC mastered this highly sophisticated form of 3-chip, vertically oriented liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) technology, thus enabling them to develop this high contrast, flicker-free magic.
Innovations like 4th Generation Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T.) contribute to one of the most life-like pictures available for the home theater experience. Audio features are abundant you can even use the built-in speakers as a center channel for a surround sound system.
