My Experience: Bought the 50PC1DRA 6/2006. 8/2009 heard a loud pop and now I have no picture. Google "LG plasma loud pop" 31,200 results. If you are looking for a TV for $1000/ year to watch this is the beast. You have to figure the extended warranty into the price with LG. They are aware of the problem but didn't recall. The DVR only works on antenna and not with HD cable box.

Problems: It is now a 50" black sound box on my wall.
