My Experience: Have had for 1 week. Install was easy. HDMI interface works perfectly. Can re-label input tags so that HDMI input reads "DVD" on screen. No split screen features (which for a 16:9 format screen seems a shame) but many other features very easy to program and even easier to use. Love the picture - excellent blacks! "Vivid" mode delivers crisp picture leaving me wanting nothing more.
A plus and tip to others... for a minimalist installation, the small (~1") gap between the TV's shell and the supporting base is exactly enough room to hold one of the new low-profile DVD players. We opted for the Toshiba progressive scan model but I know that Sony and others also make a model that fits perfectly. Looks like it was made to go there - way to go Panasonic!! Problems: Absolutely none to date. Didn't have to read the manual at all. Everything made perfect sense except... The clock feature has an "Auto" setting which didn't seem to be right (an hour off) but even experimenting with the DST setting didn't solve the problem. Maybe just user error! Time to read the manual... |
