My Experience: This set replaced a very competent 47 inch Panasonic RPCRT HD. All I can say is WOW. You will not find a better looking TV picture regardless of cost. Out of the box it gives you a picture that would be hard to reproduce on any other set after an ISF calibration. Color reproduction is excellent and the black levels are as good as people say they are. Maybe the best comment I have heard from anyone is when a friend was watching the set and commented some people are just not made for HD, it is that realistic.

It is also a beautiful set when turned off. I would recommend hooking it up to a good HT audio system though as the on board sound is acceptable, but not great I would expect anyone who buys this set would have that option. Mine is hooked up to a DirecTV HR20 receiver running through a Yamaha RX-V2700 AVR connected to a Definitive Technology ProMonitor 6.1 surround system. This makes for a very nice system.

The set is not cheap, but some times you do get what you pay for.
