My Experience: Purchased in February of 2007, had the set for 2 months and audio developed sizzling and crackling noises. Called Polaroid and representative said it was normal because of the high voltage. Said to call back if continues or worsens. In the next month sizzling continued and voices became garbled. Wrote letter to Polaroid. Was contacted and sent a replacement module. Service installed and it lasted for a few months. Voice would blank out, and would have to turn off tv and turn on again. Called Polaroid and was sent a new(different) module. This lasted 2 months and now the tv, when turned on, goes blank. Audio can be heard, but no picture. Called Petters Group, now responsible for service, and they sent a replacement tv. It arrived, set it up and it goes blank after being on for a few minutes. Called service rep. and I am now waiting for their resolution of the situation. I did not purchase an extended warranty, but so far they have stood behind the product and seem to want to resolve the problem. We shall see. Very annoying.
