My Experience: I would not recommend this TV or Samsung due to the poor quality internal electronic components. I had previously always purchased Sony tube TVs, and after having a good experience with a Samsung computer monitor, decided to purchase an LCD TV. Mistake.

Problems: TV began making clicking noise when powering on. Eventually the length of time to power on the TV increased to the point where it would take minutes to turn on. Called Samsung and found out there was a silent recall based on the serial number / date of manufacture. Luckily, mine was one of the ones covered. Tech came out and replaced several capacitors on the power supply. He told me had replaced hundreds of capacitors on Samsung TVs. Several weeks later, TV began having color shifting issues in the top left corner of the screen. We found that if you gently tap the plastic bezel in the upper left hand corner, it would go away. It would also go away on its own if you left the TV on long enough. Eventually the color shifting began affecting the entire screen, and no amount of tapping would cure it. It would also take up to an hour for the TV to go back to normal. I dropped the TV off at the same Samsung repair facility that fixed the capacitors and it turns out the cables needed to be cleaned and 3 more capacitors replaced. Needless to say, I would not recommend another Samsung LCD TV, and recently purchased a Panasonic plasma to replace this one.
