Vidikron is again expanding its PlasmaView™ product line with the addition of the new VP-5000VHD, a 50-inch 1080p display monitor. The VP-5000VHD is supplied with an external VHD Controller/Processor featuring our renowned Imagix™ video processing for stellar performance and custom installation versatility.
This exciting new addition to our plasma lineup complements our existing 42, 50, 60 and 65-inch models and is the second in the series to provide true 1920 x 1080 (1080p) resolution along with its larger sibling, the VP-6500VHD.
The VP-5000VHD elevates image quality to the highest level, boasting impressive brightness and contrast ratio, deep black levels and the most accurate colorimetry yet available. These performance achievements have earned it THX™** certification status, becoming the first 50-inch plasma to meet the rigorous THX video standards. Additional engineering enhancements include sophisticated 16-bit digital video processing resulting in 4096 steps of graduation for seamless images, completely void of the "solarization" and "stair stepping” characteristics previously plaguing digital flat panels.
The VP-5000VHD features IntelliWide™ for viewing 4:3 content in widescreen without appreciable picture degradation, as well as ISF™ calibration modes for optimum viewing under diverse lighting conditions.
