My Experience: I have used this model an average of 18 hours per day for the past 3 years. It was used as a computer monitor, a TV with my cable box, and often as both with the use of picture-in-picture. Regardless of the source, the resolution was very good; especially with High Def content. Next time I spend 1800 on a monitor/TV I will be sure to also buy the longest extended service plan available.
Problems: 1- You can see dirty fingerprints in the lower corners from careless assembly workers (on the inside where it can't be cleaned without being disassembled). 2- After the first 2 years, burn-in is becoming increasingly problematic. The FAQs on Westinghouse's website say that burn-in is not an issue with LCDs but they are lying and/or ignorant because it is a huge problem and very noticeable (and becoming increasingly sensitive with time). 3- Some additional very large optical distortions have appeared (and can not be removed or repaired) within my 3rd year of use. |
