I wonder why the Panasonic TC-37LZ85 and TC-37LZ800 37" models were not part of this 37" LCD roundup? I am looking at these tool models and would like to know how they stack up against the Sony, LG and Samsung. Consumer Reports gave these two models very high ratings.

Also, I was really surprised to see the Samsung getting 4.0 marks for performance and value. Most people buy a HDTV primarily for picture quality and having looked at all of these TVs the Samsung and Sony to me looked like they had the best pictures. I dont get too hung up on the audio as they can be solved with a simple inexpensive 3.1 system. You can improve the audio but not the picture. And the Samsung can be picked up from CC/BB for under $900. That seems like value to me?
