I still have the TV here. I just fed it a 1080p/24Hz signal from the Sony Blu-ray BDP-S350 player. The movie plays back perfectly on the VIZIO.
Therefore it does accept 24Hz signals. Now, I see no indication anywhere that the TV is playing back that signal at 24Hz. I assume that it is converting it to 60Hz.
I'm not a big advocate of 24Hz playback, so I don't see this conversion as a big deal.
