I bought my Vizio TV (VP505XVT) about 4 months ago, and for the past 2 months or so, the picture goes blank (out) for about 15 secs when I am playing a movie on my blue – ray, playing a game on my PS2, or watching the TV through my Dish. I currently have only 3 hook ups to the TV, my blu-ray which is HDMI cable, my PS2 which is the basic cable cords, and my Dish network wire. Let me break this down
When I am watching a movie, the picture only goes blank once the movie has started, and usually goes black some between the 6 minute – 15 minute when the movies start playing. Typically the screen only goes blank for about 15 secs, meanwhile the sound while continue going. Sometimes it goes blank a second time for another approx 15 secs but only sometimes.
When I am watching a television program, the picture goes blank, again only about 15 seconds or so, about 5 minutes after the program has started. The sound will continue and the picture will return, and usually there are no further issues.
Pretty much the same happens when I play a video game.
I would not classify this as normal, since the same thing happens on all separate hook up input connections. Is there any tech advice someone can provide me please email me, or let me know if this is normal.
Appreciate it.
