Same story here. Bought Vizio 42" on August 8, 2008 and the picture died August 29,2009. The warranty has been out for 3 weeks and the nasty customer service department said it is out of warranty. Looks like a pattern here that hte BBB needs to be aware of. A recall is in order on this tv. We have three other Vizios that are different sizes and the are working great. I wouldn't have a problem if this tv had not died just after the warranty expired. Let's all write letters to the BBB!
