Greetings,

We just returned from the InfoComm convention in Orlando. If you're not familiar with the event, it's touted as the world's largest AV show. Indeed, the cavernous hall displayed gear ranging from interactive white boards to stage lighting to 4K DLP projectors. And of course, lots and lots of HDTVs and monitors.

InfoComm targets governmental, educational, corporate and worship clients, so we didn't expect to see any revolutionary HDTVs. And considering the growing maturity of the market, most of the new products in the coming months will be evolutionary (though we always will be happy to be proven wrong).

Walking around the show floor, the obvious trend is more - resolution and size. Taken to the extreme, Panasonic was displaying their 103" 1080p plasma monitor prototype. And if you just can't wait for that bodacious beauty to roll off the assembly line, LG was proud to show their 71" model, which for a "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" price, you can buy now. Finally, for those of you yearning for drive-in movies, you can customize your roadster into a traveling multiplex - perfect for watching all six episodes of Star Wars at once.

As we were arranging with vendors for review units, they always asked what we were looking to review. We picked a few of our favorites, but we realized that was a question that you, our readers, needed to answer for us. So, please email us your comments and tell us what you would like us to review. Name specific models if you wish, but also let us know the range of sizes and prices that interest you.

Thanks in advance for making HDTVSolutions better.
