Designed to Complement Flatscreen TVs at Las Vegas Electronics Expo

JACKSONVILLE, FL/January 6, 2005/-- Phase Technology, the designer of cutting-edge home speakers and audio technology, is unveiling at CES 2005 its new on-wall speaker, which is designed to complement the look of plasmas and other flatscreen video displays. The new model features a slim, crescent-shaped design that makes a spectacular accent when installed around wall-mounted flat panel displays. Phase Technology will show the new speaker, as well as its full line of innovative home theater, custom in-wall/in-ceiling, outdoor speakers, and more at Booth #20707 of the Las Vegas Convention Center's South Hall 1.

"Each Phase Technology speaker is designed to raise our customers' expectations for audio performance, and our new plasma speakers package that performance with a look that's going to floor visitors to our booth at CES," said Ken Hecht, president of Phase Technology. "Their highly-stylized profile is a perfect match for the contemporary look of flatscreen video displays, and with our proven drivers and audio engineering, they give theater enthusiasts the audio realism that creates an outstanding movie experience."

Phase Technology's plasma speakers each feature dual 5-1/4 woofers as well as the company's own soft dome tweeter. The speaker will come in both a black finish and metallic silver to let installers create a seamless look for the entire entertainment system no matter which model flat panel display is used. Phase Technology will ship the new speaker model in quarter 2 of 2005.

About Phase Technology

Phase Technology Corporation (toll-free at 888-PHASE TK; website at http://www.phasetech.com) is one of the few fully-vertically integrated American speaker manufacturers. The company started as United Speaker Systems in 1955 as an original equipment manufacturer and still designs and produces its own sub-assemblies in-house. Phase Technology's speaker lines incorporate many proprietary innovations like the soft-dome tweeter, the industry's standard invented by Bill Hecht, founder of Phase Technology. Other patents cover the self-damping woofer voice coil, the manufacturing process for flat-piston midrange drivers and woofers, silicone-injected drivers for resonance damping, and the positive-clamping mounting system for the premier in-wall Model CI-110/II. The company also developed the Unicell Zero-Diffraction treatment that reduces acoustic reflections off cabinet and grille surfaces. Phase Technology manufactures its wood cabinets by hand and performs quality control tests at every step of the fabrication process.

Building on five decades of design and engineering innovation in the manufacture of high quality, yet affordable speakers, Phase Technology supports its products with a 10-year warranty on speakers, while amplifiers are backed by a 3-year warranty. Phase Technology's digital home theater, audiophile, outdoor, in-wall/in-ceiling custom installation speakers, as well as powered and in-wall subwoofers are constructed at the company's Jacksonville, Florida facility.
