Coby expands its offerings to include 3D and Internet TVs and, for the first time, large screen LED and LCD models. On the heels of the sold-out success of its first tablet introductions in Q4 2010, Coby presents five new Android-OS 2.3-powered touchscreen tablets for 2011 — all priced within reach: the COBY KYROS MID7025 and COBY KYROS MID7026, 7" resistive TFT LCD touchscreens with 800 x 480 (16:9) and 800 x 600 (4:3) display resolution, respectively; COBY KYROS MID8025, 8" resistive TFT LCD touchscreen and 800 x 600 (4:3) display resolution; and COBY KYROS MID1025 and COBY KYROS MID1026, 10.1" capacitive TFT LCD touchscreens with 1024 x 600 (16:9) and 1024 x 768 (4:3) display resolution, respectively.
Each new model in the 2011 KYROS range includes 4GB built-in internal memory, expandable to 32GB with optional microSDHC card; high-speed 1 GHz processor; high-speed networking support (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g) for wireless Internet connectivity; access to 1080p HD video on an HDTV with optional HDMI cable; built-in front-facing camera and integrated microphone and speakers. COBY KYROS tablets offer two unique apps, Aldiko™ E-book for downloading and reading thousands of e-books, and AppsLib™ for browsing, downloading and installing apps.
In addition, Coby will play a key role in the TV industry this year with its spectacular new line of wall-mountable units – from 22" to 55" – featuring super-thin LED and 3D technology and Internet connectivity. Many of the new models also include 1080p high-resolution displays and advanced motion engine capability that delivers lightning-fast video.
