Viewsonic LCD TVs Complete the Consumer Home Entertainment Experience
Three Wide-Screen Displays Deliver STunning High-Definition Television and Video
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2005 – ViewSonic® Corp. today further expanded its
extensive line of award-winning LCD TVs with three wide-screen, flat-panel and
high-definition ready displays that offer greater performance and value. The
competitively priced 40-inch N4050w, 27-inch N2750w and 17-inch N1750w all
feature the stylized design and superior front-of-screen performance consumers
have grown to expect from the visual display product leader.
As with all of its digital televisions, ViewSonic has designed the LCD TVs to
complete the home entertainment experience by offering customers the highest
quality image possible, regardless of the content being viewed. High performance
LCD panels combine with ViewSonic's ClearPicture™ electronics to ensure
brighter, clearer and crisper images. The fully integrated connections provide
versatile high-definition TV compatibility, and super-fast video response times
add crisp, smooth video to motion applications like games and movies.
"With the recent drop in LCD TV pricing, an increasing number of consumers
are looking to bring high-quality desktop display technology into their living
rooms," said Anne Wilcox , director, Consumer Products, ViewSonic. "With the
affordable prices of the latest digital televisions, we continue to fulfill our
promise of meeting and exceeding customer expectations in quality, value and
innovation."
As ViewSonic's largest LCD video display, the 40-inch N4050w offers superior
performance features and supports all data sources and video signals, including
HDTV. Its 1280x768 native resolution, 600:1 (typ) contrast ratio and wide
viewing angles of 170 degrees combine with a 3D SRS surround sound system to
make it easy for users to enjoy high-definition video and high-fidelity audio
from virtually anywhere in the room. At an estimated street price (ESP) of
$4999, the N4050w ensures the highest quality connection possible with its
multiple composite, component, S-video, analog RGB and DVI input with
high-definition content protection (HDCP).
Available for an ESP of $1199, the N2750w quickly transforms a bedroom or
family room into a wide-screen theater with high-definition picture quality. A
high brightness of 550 (typ) nits and contrast ratio of 600:1 (typ) are ideal
for home entertainment—such as watching HDTV or DVD movies, gaming and viewing
digital photography—while a 1280x720 optimum resolution provides vivid graphics
and clear text. The attractive design of the N2750w features a fully integrated
NTSC tuner and power supply, as well as RGB, DVI and SVHS connectivity inputs.
For a smaller location like a counter or desktop, the affordable N1750w is
the ideal choice at an ESP of $599. With a 1280x768 native resolution, a high
brightness level of 450 (typ) nits and a high 600:1 (typ) contrast ratio, the
digital TV serves equally well as a computer monitor, providing versatility as a
multi-function device. A powerful audio system further enhances the visual
experience, already provided through precision scaling and image processing
capabilities. The N1750w also features a fully integrated NTSC tuner, power
supply and connectivity inputs.
Each of the displays deliver more than 50,000 hours of superior
front-of-screen performance without the burn-in effect associated with plasma
displays. The high-performance LCD panels of the N4050w, N2750w and N1750w
increase brightness, contrast and resolution levels, while ViewSonic's
ClearPicture electronics correct color, enhance detail and improve image quality
through progressive scan and motion adaptive de-interlacing technology. Easily
attached to a wall with an optional mounting kit, the displays come with an
advanced remote control and are compatible with analog and digital PC and Mac®
computer systems, as well as popular video entertainment devices, such as HDTV
set-top-boxes, digital cameras, DVD players and video games.
Available in February, the LCD TVs will be sold through authorized ViewSonic
retailers and resellers. They are backed by a one-year limited warranty on
parts, labor and backlight and are eligible for ViewSonic's optional Express
Exchange® program, which guarantees a replacement monitor within 48 hours, where
service is available. An optional two-year extended warranty is also available.
ViewSonic offers toll-free technical support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
excluding major U.S. holidays. For more information or images of ViewSonic LCD
