Affordable Cable in Every Home for $18.95

G2 Media launches service in St. Louis, Missouri

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- G2 Media, which began as a division of G2 Communications, announces the launch of basic cable television for $18.95 in St. Louis, Missouri and the greater Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan area coming April 2013. This groundbreaking approach of providing "affordable cable in every home" is paramount if all Americans are to have access to news, information and entertainment.

In 2009, the Obama Administration provided stimulus funds for the nationwide conversion from analog to digital television under the DTV contract through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The company was contracted to manage the transition of consumers in five (5) states and was the most successful DTV contractor in the country. "The purpose of stimulus monies was to help stimulate the economy and it stimulated us to create affordable cable utilizing Internet TV technology. In the year 2013 consumers should have access to affordable cable," said Darryl Gill, CEO G2 Media.

Subscribers receive 50 channels including CNN, TBS, Cartoon Network and much more for $18.95. With G2 Media, there is no need to wait hours for a cable installer. Customers simply plug their existing Internet connection into set top box, attach the box to the television and enjoy cable television at a fraction of the cost. G2 Media is committed to providing a truly affordable cable solution.

In a June 28, 2010 federal memorandum titled Unleashing the Wireless Broadband Revolution, President Barack Obama directed the government to nearly double spectrum space for wireless Internet devices and stated, "The Internet, as vital infrastructure, has become central to the daily economic life of almost every American by creating unprecedented opportunities for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. We are now beginning the next transformation in information technology: the wireless broadband revolution."

"G2 Media is proud to be apart of this revolution. Our goal is to revolutionize the way consumers receive their cable television services. The Internet has become the portal through which consumers receive their video, news, information, data and telephone services," said Gill. "Our subscribers will be able to receive a compelling full-service package that is affordable."
