Demo Days Return!

Two Weekends for Consumers to Interact with the Latest in TV, Audio and Accessories

Arlington, Va., October 1, 2013 – For the second time this year, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® is giving consumers the opportunity to see, hear and touch the latest innovations at electronics retail stores across the country. CEA’s CE Demo Days is a nationwide campaign to educate consumers about the latest consumer electronics products and encourage them to experience those products firsthand at a local electronics retailer.

CEA will host two Demo Days weekends this month, Friday through Sunday, October 4-6, and October 11-14. This fall’s Demo Days focus on Ultra High-Definition TV (Ultra HD), 3DTV, Connected TV, the big screen home theater experience, the upgraded music experience, and the accessories needed to get the best overall tech experience, just in time for the holidays and the Major League Baseball post-season.

Consumers can experience the latest in TV technology, including Ultra HD and 3DTV. Learn how you can interact with popular websites, experience amazing clarity and view your favorite shows and movies in life-like 3D on these state-of-the-art TVs. Audio completes the home entertainment experience, allowing you to realize the full potential of everything you watch.

“CEA Demo Days is a great excuse to get out and visit a local electronics retailer to check out the latest technologies for TV viewing, movie watching and music listening,” said Samantha Nevels, CEA spokeswoman. “The latest in TV and audio technology makes you feel like you are in the crowd or right in the scene. These new products are truly something consumers need to see and hear in person to believe.”

Participating electronics retailers and installers across the country will hold special product demonstration events in their stores and showrooms. Expert sales staff will be on hand to answer shoppers’ questions and find the best home theater setup to meet their needs and budgets.
