PANASONIC INTRODUCES TOUCH SCREEN MODULE FOR 65” HIGH CONTRAST PLASMA DISPLAY

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 8, 2005) -- Panasonic Broadcast has announced the immediate availability of a new touch panel module for its professional 65" TH-65PHD7UY high-definition panel.

The TY-TP65P7S add-on touch panel allows users to interact directly with the screen via a light touch of a finger or Touch Pen. The robust aluminum touch panel module is equipped with a highly-reliable optical sensor system. The module offers outstanding resolution; ease of operation; a thin, form-fitting design; and in addition can be used as a whiteboard.

The module requires no additional screen to be overlaid on top of the plasma display, thus causing no image quality deterioration. In addition, for finger-touch operation, the TY-TPEN6 touch pen is available as an optional accessory.

As Panasonic's largest plasma, the TH-65PHD7UY is ideal for any application calling for an eye-catching, super-sized vertical or horizontal display, from a building lobby to a boardroom to an exhibit.

Offering unsurpassed performance, the TH-65PHD7UY delivers stunning 1366 x 768 quality images with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, displays 8.58 billion colors, operates in virtually any interactive, AV or PC environment thanks to the optional accessories, and provides a 60,000-hour service life*, multi-screen capabilities and customization options.

The TY-TP65P7S touch panel is currently available.
