Sharp Unveils Five New Audio Products for 2014 Including CES Innovations Honoree, WiSA-Compliant Universal Player
2014 Line-up Includes Multiple Bluetooth® and NFC enabled products
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 6, 2014) – Sharp Electronics today unveiled their 2014 line-up of high-tech audio products that can be seamlessly integrated across the household for the ultimate home entertainment experience, highlighted by the high performance Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA™) Association-compliant Universal Player. Sharp will also have a dynamic 2014 audio line-up that includes five Bluetooth-equipped products: a wireless Bluetooth speaker system, two Bluetooth sound bars, a Bluetooth-equipped microsystem and a Bluetooth-equipped executive component system. Sharp also unveiled three products that allow for easy pairing with NFC technology.

Wireless High Fidelity Sound and Full HD Video
Sharp Electronics unveiled the Sharp Universal Player and Wireless Bridge, Sharp’s first WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Audio)-compliant universal player system. The Sharp Universal Player (SD-WH1000U) is the first component to transmit uncompressed sound at 24-bit/96kHz and video at Full HD (1080p) — wirelessly. The Sharp Universal Player has already been named a 2014 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the High Performance Home Audio category.
Big Audio For Big Screens: Sound Bars
Sharp leads the way in big screens and also offers powerful sound to accompany them. The newest sound bar from Sharp, the HT-SB602, is uniquely designed to compliment 60" and larger flat panel televisions. This 2.1-channel, 310-watt sound bar system with a wireless subwoofer features a modern, unique exposed driver design for home theater sound that is polished and powerful. It has built-in Bluetooth and also offers the convenience of easy pairing using NFC. This system can be set up horizontally either in front of a TV base (including an IR extender for the TV) or wall-mounted and features dual HDMI inputs and output, 3D sound support, Dolby and DTS decoding and an optical input.
Bluetooth Speaker Systems For Every Room in the House
The 2014 Sharp audio line-up now includes superior Bluetooth speaker systems for home and office, beautifully designed for a variety of tastes. The GX-BT7 is an all-in-one 2.1-channel wireless Bluetooth speaker system with NFC support and dual subwoofer speakers that mechanically slide open when the system is turned on. The GX-BT7 is compatible with most devices through either a USB or audio input and features blue LED light indicators that pulsate in sync with any music.
The DK-KP85P Bluetooth compatible slim micro system is elegant and compact and perfect for any office, den or bedroom. The system features a top mounted Lightning dock, a USB input, CD drive, audio input, AM/FM tuner and an accompanying iPad® stand.
Also new to the line-up is the XL-HF202P, a sleek Bluetooth with NFC, 100-watt executive component system with separate speakers. With a top mounted Lightning dock and a USB input, CD drive, audio input, and AM/FM tuner, this refined audio system is perfect for virtually any environment. Additionally, the unit features Pro speaker binding posts, video output, subwoofer output terminal and comes with an iPad stand.
