LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - January 06, 2015) - The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA®) Association, an industry group dedicated to bringing high resolution, wireless, multi-channel audio products to the home theater market and multiroom applications, continues its rapid growth with the addition of six new members. Joining the Association to promote the WiSA standard is: Aurender, the brand name of SmartAudio, a Division of TVLogic Co., Ltd., Digital TV Labs, a division of Eurofins, a leading media and device testing specialist, operating globally, Gold Peak Electronics (HK) Ltd., a Hong Kong based consumer audio products manufacturer of high performance speaker products and speaker drivers, LG Innotek, an affiliate of LG Group, a leading global components manufacturer, Vifa, a manufacturer of high quality Danish speakers, and WASP, a U.S. based wireless consumer audio products company. The Association is gaining considerable momentum with new companies joining and new products and technologies being introduced at 2015 CES International.

The Association's membership exceeds 35 brands from global consumer and professional audio speaker companies, CE manufacturers, ODM and OEMs, guitar manufacturers and other industry associations. In addition, several members are announcing new WiSA certified products, modules and technologies at CES, with demonstrations in the WiSA suite, Venetian Hotel, room 30-226. These products range from entry level mass market audio speaker systems, to high end speaker systems, multiroom applications and audio transmitter and receiver modules. Enclave Audio is the first to deliver a complete 5.1 speaker system with both a transmitter and receiver for sets ranging between $199 and $1,199. Klipsch will showcase their new WiSA compliant 5.1 Reference Premiere speakers, and LG Innotek, will show a new series of wireless audio transmitter and receiver modules. A number of other systems from WiSA members including Bang & Olufsen, Claridy Audio, Fostex, Sharp and Summit Semiconductor will also be shown in the suite.

Until recently, wireless audio solutions have been limited to only a stereo experience. The key advantage of WiSA-compliant components is that it is the first wireless audio solution to offer high-resolution, 24 bit up to 96Khz audio, from 2.0 to 7.4 channels, while being fully interoperable with other WiSA compliant products, allowing the consumer the convenience and freedom-of-choice to mix and match components from different manufacturers.
