My Experience: I moved up from a first gen 42" 720p lcd to the Westinghouse LD-4655vx in November. I read nomorewestinghouse's review and have to say that I am a bit dismayed by it.
The picture quality of the tv is great. It takes some tweaking with the limited menu of picture options, but going with a dark room, movie setting can give an initially really pleasant picture.
I agree that the time stamp is annoying as it loses time each time you turn off the tv, however, I don't use my tv to keep time and I am able to decrease the amount of time the stamp is on the screen so that it isn't very bothersome.
As for audio - well, find me any tv that is only 2" thick and I will show you a tv with really bad sound quality. I suggest a home theater system or at the very least an inexpensive soundbar from walmart to improve the sound quality.
The tv could feature more inputs. However, I run everything through my Onkyo receiver and only need the one hdmi input on the tv.
If you are looking to upgrade in size to a 46 and you can manage the limited inputs, I wouldn't hesistate to take this home for about 550 from bestbuy...
