My Experience: Picked this gem up at Aarons for only $799 after shopping around for awhile. My son is an engineer for Sony and swears by the Rear Projection High-Def TV's as long as they're 1080p capable. He told me the Plasmas will burn images in the screen when playing games, XBox etc, and will burn out $300+ tuners, sometimes within a year. He said the LCD's on the LCD TV's will eventually start to burn out after a period of 5-6 years. The only down side of the Rear Projection High-Def's is the lamp replacement every 1-2 years at a cost of around $100. The important part is to not leave the TV running 24/7 for maximum bulb life.
