My Experience: We have had out Hitachi 50V710 for 5 years. For the last ten months we have noticed a yellow spot in the middle of the picture. The color and tint part of the TV no longer work. After researching the problem, we found out that it is a WELL KNOWN problem to Hitachi, however, they refuse to do anything about it. So... bottom line is we spent $2,500+ for a throw away tv. Thanks Hitachi and rest assured we will NEVER purchase another Hitachi product!

Problems: defective light engine... but you already knew that!
