Problems: My television was barely 2-months old when I heard a "popping" noise and the picture as well as the sound went completely out. Just enough time had expired to prevent me from taking the set back to where it was purchased. LG informed me that I would have to call the ONE and ONLY local LG authorized service center in my area. I live in a rather large area and to have only one service resource is totally unacceptable. I called them and explained the situation and about a week later, after sending an email message to LG (to which they never responded) the local repair shop came out and picked up my dead television. They have now had my two-month old television in their shop for 5-days. I called the shop this afternoon and was told "he has another one in front of yours and he will let you know something as soon as he can." My advice is two fold...first of all get the extended warranty and secondly, before you buy, check to see how many LG authorized repair shops are in your area. I am not at all impressed with my very first (and last) LG experience.
