Our Review: Norcent LT-3250: Norcent may not be the first name that rolls off your frontal lobe when you are thinking of TVs, but if its LT-3250 is any indication, Norcent is a brand name to file away in the old gray matter. From the first day of reviewing this 32” LCD... more

My Experience: I have had the LT-3250 for about a week (hence, the 'average' score for reliability). I purchased it online for $585, about $300 less than comparably featured small-brand competitors.

Set-up was easy. Just plug things into the generous inputs and they all hit the ground running. My digital cable has some signal issues, so HDMI actually looked worse than component video. However, my up-converting DVD looks great through the HDMI, so, score!

On the whole, I am very pleased with this device. We use it in the master bedroom. The picture is clear/bright enough and the (emulated?) SRS sound is vibrant enough for that application.

I highly recommend this product.

Problems: I don't like separate remotes for different devices. Unfortunately, Norcent don't have universal codes for their LCD/Plasma TVs. Therefore, I am stuck with the Norcent remote, which is very vanilla-but-usable, and my Sony universal for dig.cbl, VCR, and DVD. I'm gonna try to 'teach' the universal to learn the Norcent remote's codes, at least for a few essential functions like volume and source...once I get a round tuit...
