My Experience: To give you the short version I started off with the sony kdl46xbr2 it was a good TV but its major down fall was slow responce time (8ms), cloudy blacks, etc. So I decided to return it and buy the panasonic th-50pz700u once I hooked it up I noticed a huge differance in how dim this TV was compared to the sony even after a hour or so tweeking the options ( which by the way were pretty poor because how few options there were) the picture was still Considerably dimmer. Don't get me wrong though the image is stillvery solid even at a fast pace especially with a blu-ray or hd-dvd player. SO the only major problem I found was that the image was to dim.

Problems: image was to dim, not enough options to adjust the picture quality only 2 HDMI ports
