My Experience: Suberb Picture, espeacially when connected to an HD source such as SKY HDTV. This really allows you to use the 1920x1080 screen resolution on the station's broadcasting in HD. The detail is amazing. Sound is pretty good too. Although I have now connected mine to a Philips HTS8000S Hi-Fi Surround Sound System which is awsome and not too many cables. The Ambilight feature on the TV really adds to the viewing experiance. In all its a total cinema experiance which I think would be hard to beat for any amount of money. Mind at nearly £3,000 for this lot, its not cheap. My only niggle on this TV, - Just one HDMI connector which is really mean for a TV of this price. Come on Philips, people who have a TV with a 1920x1080 screen resoltion, what to connect SKY HDTV, a PS3 and a DVD player with HD upscalling for their old DVD collection. I have to keep swapping mine over which is a real pain considering where Philips have put the HDMI connector. By the way HDMI splitter boxes are very expensive, too large and ugly, I have yet to find a 3 way one which would fit invisibly behind the tv.

Problems: When first recieved. No uk leads, Motorised TV stand would not work, wrong instruction manual enclosed and worst of all - The TV kept switching itself off when it got warm. This TV takes upto 30 seconds to boot up. So this problem was a real pain.

Supplier offered a repair, which I accepted, engineer recommended a replacement. Supplier offered this, but then did not have one in stock. I agreed to wait until they did and waited and waited and waited. After 4 months of waiting, I asked for my money back, which they refused, but agreed to repair which I was told would take 5 days. Six weeks later I was still waiting. At this point I really kicked off at them. I again asked for my money back, Again they refused. I threatened legal action, and then mysteriously all of a sudden the supplier managed to find one in stock. Great all I wanted was a TV that worked. I now have it. For those of you wondering who the supplier was of this shocking after sales service, it was - ELECTRICAL-DEALS.CO.UK also known as ELECTROTEC LTD. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SUPPLIER I REPEAT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SUPPLIER, THEY BREACH CONSUMER RIGHTS LAWS AND THEN TRY AND HIDE BEHIND THEM AND HAVE A TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER FOCUS AND COMPLETE INABILITY TO SOLVE ANY PROBLEM AMICABLY. But do buy this TV.
