My Experience: To make a long story short, I would highly recommend this product.

And for the rest of the story.

I’m not a HD expert, but in all the evaluations of HD TVs I’ve done over the past several years, this TV is a winner, especially for the price.

When it came to actually picking an HD TV, I wanted something affordable and within in my budget. The price I settled on was $500 and I recently was able to find several decent 32 in TVs in that price range. I was just looking to upgrade my 26 in analog TV to a flat wide screen TV and from what I saw 32 in would work.)

However, my husband really wanted to go to a 37 in screen, but if we were going to expand, I decided a 40 in was the way to go.

Knowing I would have to go outside of my $500 budget to do this, I was disappointed to find how much I would have to go out of that range to get a good LCD HD 40 in. I wanted something with a good picture of course, but I also wanted one that didn’t fade when viewing from the side and one that reduced the glare from my many windows to the max. (Even the higher priced top TVs had quite a bit of what I call mirror imaging when watching the TV in the show rooms. One salesperson was able to explain that the matting used to reduce the mirror affect was taken away in favor of a brighter picture.)

In the end I found this TV at SAMS and knew instantly this was the one. It had the picture quality, absolutely no fading, and the picture was still bright despite having glare reduced to more a matted look. Plus it was 1080P full HD, and with SAMS price, only $300 over budget, (this was one of their one-time-only price listings and you won’t find it on their site). (The consol is nice and slim as well and truly gives a picture frame affect, which I also like. Very pretty.)

We’ve had this TV for only a few weeks now, but I’m so happy with the outcome. RCA hasn’t been getting the best ratings lately, but our last one was an RCA and we always liked it, (until I wanted a flat screen), and I feel this one will work very nicely as well.

(RCA did seem to recommend this as their top of the line even over their 42 in screens which was also a plus for me.)
