My Experience: The picture is as good as it gets. Really superb. I've experienced none of the banding issues cited by others - even after many tests. Interestingly, even though the TV doesn't have PIP as a feature, I'm able to get it through my digital cable box -- so I'm a happy camper.

Problems: My suggestin is, if you have it shipped to you by a trucking company, inspect the box very carefully. If you notice ANY rough handling, don't accept it! I had a unit shipped in a box that looked like it had taken a few hits. When it arrived, I inspected the TV and it looked normal -- so I accepted it. After it was hung on the wall and the whole magilla, it had a large box -- which looked like a PIP box -- with random bars and other noise. The Sharp authorized repair guy that came out knew right away that it was the circuit board from rough shipping.
