My Experience:
-- currently experiencing "optical block" problem.
-- waiting for repairs.
-- set was recalled for optical block problem; did not notify me.
-- I should have waited for an LCD.

-- my next set will NOT be a Sony.

Problems:
-- three years, three (expensive) projector lamps!
-- cost of projector lamps not covered by Sony service contract.
-- not "user friendly."
-- too many problems (see above).
-- one button on remote control inoperative.
