My Experience: I bought one of these 3 months ago and am very happy with it so far. I initially had problems with colour quality and audible noise through the speakers even when no signal was present. The store I bought it from replaced it and since then it's been fine. The built in DVD works very well with some startup noise but nothing that is obtrusive during play back. The picture quality is quite good but obviously depends on the source material. On the TV new programs look great especially when broadcast in HD. I like the way HD broadcasts actually fill the whole screen unlike widescreen movies that despite their widescreen format still show up with bars across the top and bottom of your screen. This doesn't appear to be the TV's fault. It seems to be that the widescreen perspective of the movie does not match the TV. Some movies actually do play in full screen but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Old programming e.g. reruns of Star Trek Next Gen. exhibit some annoying glitches especially in the faces of the characters. At times parts of the faces appear to move independently of each other as a character moves his or her head. These I put down to digital anomolies not a flaw in the set.

Problems: Sound problems and colour inconsistences in original sample. Second unit was fine.
