Day One of CEDIA

My impression after marching up and down the aisles - in a phrase, 1080p. The exhibit hall was awash with 1080p products - gorgeous 1080p HDTVs: plasmas, LCDs, DLPs; and luscious 1080p projectors; and pristine 1080p video processors. A videophile could die and fly to heaven on 1080p wings.

Tomorrow, I've scheduled a round of interviews with some of the major HDTV players. I can give you more details then. But the real key will be to wrangle some of these 1080p mustangs into our testing facility to see how they perform under more realworld, less display booth, conditions.
