My Experience: My sister and brother in law purchased 3 42" Haier plasma monitors. They used two for their home and gave the third one as a gift. They got a pretty good deal at the department store. So i get home really excitedand hooked up my tv monitor to the cable box and vuala! we"ve got picture. But for some reason when i tryed to use the remote that came with the monitor, nothing. Checked the batteries, tried it again and nothig. To this day i have never been able to use it, good thing the cable box had one. but all i can do is flip thru the channels because when i tried to configure the monitor with the remote for the cable box it didnt work. After several attempts on different ocations following the onscreen instructions i finally gave up. So i called the cable company and they sent a technician but he wasnt able to configure the monitor because the code for that specific model was not on the cable box. I can still flip thru the channels but it is back to turning up or down the volume manually. To make matters worst 3 months after using the monitor the screen just went out i mean pitch black. I can still get sound out of it wich is of good quality i might add but, with no picture might as well just turn the radio on. The whole family was sad because we had just lost the newest member of our family, THE PLASMA TV.

Problems: 1) Remote control that doesnt work. 2)cant be configured with the remote for the cable box.
