My Experience: I was given this tv because the previous owner said the picture just went out. They had this tv for 5 years since it was new in 2007. I tore it apart and found (2) 3300 micro farad capacitors bad and replaced them and the tv works just fine and it has been working great for more than a year now. Total cost of repair, $16.00. Since I have a degree in Electronics, the labor was free but total time was one hour to repair. I also fixed a Dvd home surround system by Philips but paid $8.00 at a garage sale and paid $7.00 to repair. Cost for tv new was $2,499.00, DVD Home System was $499.00 new. I would say paying $31.00 for both was worth it.

Problems: Two 3300 micro farad capacitors costing $8.00 each. No charge for labor as I repaired it myself.
