My Experience: Bought this Zenith Jan. 2006. Seemed like a great 50" plasma for the price. When the TV worked, it was great. Clear pictures an nice clean easy to manuver menus. The only issue I ever had with the picture was that when a show or movie or whatever went to a dark area like most horror flicks, you could "see" these rings of glow around anything that was bright. Like a single candle light in a pitch black room, you could see these strange halos or rings of fading light. Anyway overall you get what you pay for.

Problems: After 1 year and 11 months of happy viewing it made the dreaded two loud pops and the TV shut off. It will come back on for about 3 seconds and power back off....no picture. Thank god at the time of purchase I made a wonderful decision to go ahead and buy the extended warrantee that took it to 2010. Cost $700 extra for that warrantee and I almost didn't do it!
It popped on Dec 13,2007, and we called for service the 14th. After the warrantee people took our info, they said someone would be calling to schedule a pick-up within the week. Never happened. Called back on Dec. 21,07 and complained to Circuit City. They pacified us for another week, but still no call back. Called them back on Jan. 3rd, 2008 and was extremely unhappy. CC said they would make sure the service guys called within 48 hours. Here it is Jan 8th, 2008 and finally a local service companys secretary called us. She said it would be at least 2 weeks before they even come to get it and we would have to remove the heavy plasma from our wall mount also....Thanks SO much C.City!

So people remember when these jerk sales guys are promising the moon with these extended POS warrantees, GET IT IN WRITING, cause I clearly remember that sales guy saying that this ext-warr purchase would cover the wall removal and there would be NO hassles.
Right.
